IF - Music

I had a difficult time with this week's Illustration Friday theme of music. It should have been an easy one, but I did a LOT of erasing before I settled on this. I tried to use as few lines as possible and added a bit of overlapping to create intersecting shapes. It was done with a Pitt pen and watercolors in my watercolor Moleskine while listening to an "oldies" radio station. I'm not ashamed to admit that 70s music is my favorite!

Pat this is lovely the colours are so gentle but bright. You must have been listening to great music. I am fond of the '70's' as well.

That's very interesting lettering! I have always liked that quote and think music is so important.

I was sort of thinking the same thing. This "should" have been quick and easy. But I spent several hours... Your results are charming, though. WORTH IT!!

Hey, the 70s worked for me, I was teenager then, and I love the music too! This has that 70s happy feeling! :)

This is really pretty and I too am an 70's music fan. Some great rock bands got their start in the 70's and I still like to listen to them today.
